It is quite important to file Income Tax Return, the last date to do so is 31st July 2018. Your Income Tax Return will be considered complete only when you send your ITR-V to CPC Bangalore or E-Verify your income tax return online.
As a taxpayer you must know that, your Income Tax Return will not be considered valid till the time you don’t verify your Income Tax Return. You are supposed to e-verify your Income Tax return within 120 days from the day of filing your Income Tax Return.
- You can verify your Income Tax Return by using an OTP or One Time Password, which you will receive on your registered mobile number or E-mail ID. This OTP is a 10-digit alphanumeric code, which is generated through the income tax department’s e-Filing portal and is valid for 72 hours.
- You can E-verify you Income Tax Return by using net-banking facility of your Bank Account.You can login to your net-banking account and then click on the tab, that is related to Income Tax filing. Then select the e-verify option and you will be redirected to the e-filing website.
- There is another method that you can use, but for that you must first pre-validate your bank account. You can pre-validate your bank account through the profile settings menu in your e-filing account. You will be required to enter details such as bank name, account number, IFSC and mobile number. You must know your pre-validation will be complete only when your PAN and name match with your bank account details.You are required to enter the mobile number which is linked to your bank account. Once these details are confirmed and validated by the bank, only then you can generate EVC using this option. You will receive the code on the mobile number mentioned by you. You must make sure that your bank is in the list before you use this mode of e-verification.
